In anycase my and I went toward the beach for lunch and ended up in a tourist shop where I saw my first shark in a bottle. I wanted to pick one up but my mom said hell no! It has been a joke between us ever since.

Seeing this made me smile

Willy wannabe

Where are the Snozzberries!!!!!!

Willy Wonka and the IMAX Theater... Boy, I was interested to see the film when I first heard about it. Then I saw the ads on TV are really started to loose interest. but baby wanted to see it and she has the great ability to ignore and look away when an advertisements for a film she wants to see comes on, so she still wanted to see it. What better way then IMAX.

new-wonka.jpg

It was strange because IMAX sure did not seem like the IMAX I know. I remember it a bit different larger wider and 6 storys? they tell us in the Seattle theater.. maybe in Umpa Lumpa land. But that was the least of my problem with memories. The film is horrible. a true disaster. Great Willy Wonka was turn into a bizarre Michel Jackson wannabe. the Umpa Lumpa's were all "Tiny" while the effect was well done. it was like a bad Aphex Twin video. And what is up with the horrible foreshadowing of 2001 space odyssey? "They're not..." I thought... and oh yes they did!

The movie was off to a bad start with the fact that master puppeteer Tim Burton did the intro in a 3-D render. There the story went for a bit in a wonderful way until "Willy Wonka Jackson" show his face... This was a character they wanted Jim Carrey, but couldn't get him. Then the baton was really dropped when the Umpa Lumpa songs were all reworked in weird wannabe disco style. Other details I don't like are this father son relationship in the Wonka household. Also the fact that Charlie and Grandpa don't get stuck and hide the fact they touched something when they should not have.

The one part that was great was Charlie and Grandpa in this new version. they were great adaptations. There were slight and few changes really so that maybe the reason I like them.

Maybe I am getting old... Scary!

Keep it Simple Please!

how great are the japanese!!!

I have been playing katamari damacy now for a while. its wonderful so simple so fun it is the simple wonder of the gaming world.

Basiclly we have becomes such consumers we have lost sight of the stars. Now the crap we have collected here on earth is being roled up and sent back to the sky so we can see the stars once more. Very deep, maybe even a bit read into this discription.

A game for the whole family. I just wish there was a better two player mode. I was so excited to hear they were going to bring the game out for the PSP. but then I realized it might not be so fun because the player mechanics just arent there. You have two analog joystick in the PS2 game and on the PSP there is only one. The rumor was started by walmart... a glitch? maybe...

Katamari 2 is coming out sometime. Wonder if they will work on the 2 player mode?
